College students and graduates alike are always on the lookout for internships since they play an important role in one’s career. Internships are also a great way for organizations to mentor students and get their work done at a lesser price or more often than not, for free. It also helps organizations in advertising as interns tend to talk about them and endorse their work culture to their peers. Internships are also a great way to cut down training costs for new recruits since they learn the work during their internships before taking up an actual job. 

However, internships have also become excuses for organizations to exploit students who are willing to work in order to gain experience and go up their respective professional ladders. Most organizations offer unpaid internships where interns are made to work for free only promising skills, experience and connections in exchange for the work. While this is acceptable since the intern has agreed beforehand to work free of cost, there are some organizations which promise a stipend to their interns but end up not paying or making only a partial payment to the intern after the completion of the work.

This is unfair on the part of the organizations to get their work done and fail to deliver on their obligation. This ends up being a problem since most organizations do not have any written contract before the internship commences, and the intern cannot do much as they are in the formative years of their career. Serving a legal notice can nonetheless sometimes compel parties to fulfill their obligations. Thus, an aggrieved intern who has not been paid or has been paid only partially can use a notice along the lines of the one given below.
